Lips is proud to host a benefit for New York Restoration Project(NYRP), an organization founded by Bette Midler, dedicated to restoring parks, gardens and open space in underserved communities throughout New York City. A portion of the funds raised will be used to help NYRP reach their goal of “Million Trees NYC”, an initiative to plant and care for one million new trees in NYC. This includes replanting many trees which were destroyed by Super-storm Sandy.
The evening includes a red carpet arrival with Joan Rivers/Jessie Volt), a Veuve Clicquot & Absolut cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction, plus a three course dinner served by the legendary “drag” waitresses of Lips, and the highlight of the evening, The “Night of a Thousand Midler’s” tribute revue, dedicated to the Divine Miss M! The show will be hosted by Drag Superstar Ginger Snapt and feature Donna Maxon, the worlds foremost Bette Midler tribute artist, and The Ladies of Lips, all performing Miss M’s greatest hits. Ginger Snapt, is a drag sensation who hosts shows throughout NYC. Donna Maxon, a “dead ringer” for Miss Midler, is renowned as the worlds top Midler tribute artist.
